Alexandra Holt

Senior Private Secretary, Ministry of Justice

Alexandra previously worked in the Prime Minister’s Strategy Team in the COVID-19 Taskforce informing decisions made by the Prime Minister. She worked on options for exiting current national restrictions. This included presenting to the Prime Minister when and how to release restrictions. The role was strategic and analytical using a wide range of modelling and data. She also worked on strategic planning on the long-term shift from pandemic to endemic and the risks of new variants to vaccines.

Prior to this, she worked as a Policy Adviser in the Department for Transport where she worked on the airport capacity strategy and airline insolvencies. Alexandra has previously been seconded to the Department of Health and Social Care to inform COVID-19 policies. She graduated from the London School of Economics in 2017 with an MSc (Hons) in Human Geography, specialising in urban planning.
